Brittany asked:
I am 5 weeks pregnant and did not know I couldn’t use proactive while pregnant so I am stopping today but what are some other treatments that are safe and effective? thanks!

Are acne treatments such as Proactive safe for women who are pregnant or trying to conceive?
Nicole asked:
Since going off my birth control to try to conceive, my acne has flared big time. My dermatologist does not recomend using over the counter acne medicine such as Persa-Gel which contains benzoyle peroxide becuase it is unknown if it is safe for pregnant women or women who are trying to conceive. I have used Proactive in the past and it has worked really well for me. I am not pregnant but am trying to conceive. Ultimately I plan to consult my OBGYN on this but I’m curious to find out what information others have.
