Using make up during and after acne treatments?

I have been using Benzoyl Peroxide and Adapalene gel (0.1). My skin has definetly improved. But soon I will be staring college and I was wondering if it is better to use foundation or tinted moisturizer on my skin?
Is it possible to apply make up ontop of the benzoyl peroxide?
And is it true that I will have to continue to use benzoyl peroxide for the long term to prevent my acne from returning?
