Should I stop using a topical acne medication if my face has become dry?

same thing happened to me! only dab some on your problem areas, like don’t put any on your cheeks or something if there’s no breakouts there. but if it continues to be dry, stop using it for a few days and just use moisturizer after washing your face.
that happen to me but i stopped using all types of treatments for about a two weeks and my face wasn’t dry anymore
I think you can continue the routine to prevent any acne from reoccuring, you may want to use it less frequently though. Just using just warm water and a washcloth every other time will help.

You need to put it on, let it dry, then apply a moisturizer or serum on that will hydrate your skin
And be sure to exfoliate, that will help sooo much!
You can use astringent to get rid of the flakes, but be gentle about it because it might sting. If you could possibly lessen the usage, you should. Also, you might be able to get away with just dabbing your pimples with the medication so that it doesn’t damage the blemish-free skin around it.
