Can an angel please help me? Acne products for me?
Writer, author and reader asked:
I am tired of promises when it comes from acne products.
I haved tried neutrogena, proactiv, avon clearskin professional etc.
I WAS gonna order Murad Acne Complex system cause it doesn’t have benzoyl peroxide and its natural. But I saw horrible reviews on the internet and decided to forget about it. I was also thinking of buying Avon’s clear skin products (not clear skin professional) to try them out cause they have salicylic acid and don’t have irritants. I really don’t know, Im so confuse coz there are soo much acne products out there that don’t work! Please give me advice! Something that is natural in the meaning of the word that is not harsh and have antioxidants. 5 stars guaranteed.

put toothpaste on the spots and wash with a warm cloth.. then put a bleaching cream(at walmart for $3.00) and leave that on there for 30 min.-stay out of the sun when doing this and you will see an improvement in a wk.. try it…!!
The most common mistake people make is using too many products, which can make the problem worse. To clear up pimples or acne keep your face scrupulously clean – a mild soap and water is all you need unless you have significant outbreaks and then you should use an antibacterial soap. Wash only twice a day. Rinse well. Drink plenty of water. Avoid touching your face if you have not first washed your hands – our hands have TONS of bacteria on them. If you do get a pimple, do not pick at it. Treat it by using a hot wet compress (clean washcloth) two or three times a day. If you want to use a moisturizer, use olive oil. It really does work and is not at all greasy, despite what you might think. Never put anything on your skin that you would not also consider eating, as if it is rubbed into the skin it is also absorbed into the blood stream. If you do these things and you still have uncontrolled outbreaks of pimples, see your doctor, as you may have acne, which usually requires prescription medication.
lol.. this question kind of POPPED out at me because my name is Angel but any who.. i use clean and clear
I HATE acne it sucks and no one likes it.. and some have it worse than other.. but get the astringent. that cleans ur face and even dries it a little but then just use some lostion afterwards.. um they have those little bottles that u can put on the zit and it IMMEDIATELY gets less red and goes away real soon..
good luck
You know what I recommend? Get a nice mild face wash, and stop with all the harsh chemicals. Your acne will probably clear up faster.
I use Neutrogena redness soothing cleanser, then Clean & Clear moisturizer after washing. It doesn’t irritate or burn my sensitive skin.
ahh, i had the EXACT same problem for like, ever..
haha, but now i have totally clear skin, so,
i use Aveeno Clear Complexion face wash (the cream one) morning and night..
in the morning a put on a lot of moisturizer (cause i have dry skin) and i use the Clean&Clear one (it contains salyic acid), and at night, i use benzoyl peroxide, it works VERY well for me, has been for 3 years. strongly recommend it.
also, your makeup probably contributes to your acne,
i use Smashbox!
it’s oil free (which all your makeup should be) and is packed with vitamine and antioxidants,
only downside is its a little pricey
.. hope this helps!
I have not tried this product but you can get a free trial. Check out their web site.
I’ve tried tons of acne products, recently I switched to Burt’s Bees, I have sensitive skin, and my skin dries out really easily, I bought all three products separately, but they all work great! I bought the spot treatment which comes in the tiny glass bottle, and that worked, but I needed something more, so I bought the liquid cleanser, which dried out my skin a lot, so I bought the lotion and that fixed the problem!
The lotion doesn’t clog your pores and it all smells really good. I have gotten rid of almost all of my acne and the stuff that hasn’t gone away you can’t even tell it’s there! I hope that if you do try it that it works for you.
The two Components you really need are : benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid to help your acne
A good source of food helps also.
Try Biore with 2% salicylic acid.
they have a benzoyl peroxide acne cream 10%, which is pretty high and works well.
You should have a face wash (wash morning and night), a toner and a mosturizer that has salicylic acid in it.
Try clean and clear
if your looking for home remedies, honey, olive oil work.
Also having a good diet… cutting back those fatty oily foods and switching to water and healthy greens.
Be patient
acne doesnt last forever…
My daughter suffered with acne and did not see any results until she was prescribed an antibiotic by her dermotologist. Besides taking the meds, she went the whole nine yards with one product after another like you have. I know Proactiv was too drying. She decided to go all natural and use home remedies. Have you tried this? You must start by altering your diet, eliminating the grease, chocolate and other foods that irritate your skin, and she began cleaning her face with baby wipes because they are disposable. The wash cloths just smeared the oil around on her face making things worse. She also used aloe vera gel, the inexpensive gel you can find at Wal Mart. Aloe vera is good for the skin and dries up the oil. Check out this article on Apple Cider Vinegar. She showed me this article and followed the instructions. Sorry about writing a book here, but her struggle was a long one. Anyway, she gave up on over the counter rip off products that were useless and went the antibiotic/natural product route. Her skin is so beautiful now. Hope this helped. Good luck.
try the Vichy wash that doesn’t really need rinsing, but it’s very good.. honestly, i say you should visit a dermatoligst… somtimes, no products will fade your pimples away unless you start taking pills. there are pills for that that aren’t dangerous, (my own sister has taken, and we’re very picky on not taking unnecesary medicine) such as Roccutan
it all dfepends on the type of your pimples, really,m whether they’re big, or not, or what. i dont know exactly. either way dont take any drastic medicine dose without consulting a dermatologist, if he starts giving you random soaps and creams, feel free to try them, but i SAY you shouldn’t if you see there’s no improvement. just saying, good luck
